Our client is seeking someone to handle commercial
property ie: apartment buildings, condos encompassing large claims.
Ability to complete estimates based on information provided. Investigate
assigned claims to determine applicable coverage within policy terms and
conditions.
Compile and interpret documentation, log claim information,
and develop files by obtaining information from the insured, the claimant or
other sources.
Determine extent of damages, making necessary referrals to
appraisers or independent/staff adjusters. Develop
information relative to subrogation or refer claims if the facts and risk
associated are questionable. Analyze
information obtained in order to evaluate and adjust claims within the delegated
limit of authority. Maintain diary, proper reserves, and review files frequently
to ensure quality of documentation and proper decision making.
Negotiate final settlements in conjunction with the insured, the claimant, and
attorneys. Communicate settlement details to the insured, agent or other
parties.
Some overnight travel may be required.
Also some nights and weekends may be required as projects warrant.
